Position: Billing Specialist

Schedule: 8:00am – 5:00pm (40hrs./wk.) Shift: Days
Position Requirements: Two (2) years of college or business school or the equivalent in experience preferred. Experience with general accounting methods and third-party reimbursement preferred. Experience in medical office or setting and knowledge of medical terminology. High degree of integrity and discretion in carrying out work of a confidential nature. Experience and knowledge of general computer applications, including spreadsheets.
Position Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare and submits claims to the appropriate payment source either electronically or by hard copy billing. Secure all needed medical documentation required or requested by third-party insurances or other payment sources. Follow up with payment sources on unpaid claims until claims are paid or only self-balance remains. Process rejections by either making accounts private and generating a letter of rejection to patient or correct any billing error and resubmitting claims to payment source. Keep updated on all billing and benefit changes for third-party insurance carriers. Monitor claims for missing information or authorization. Provides back-up phone duties and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or CEO.

Position Requirements: Current North Carolina license as a Registered Nurse and current CPR certification. A minimum of 2 years nursing experience preferred. Possess good nursing assessment and problem solving skills.
Position Duties and Responsibilities: A Registered Nurse (RN) assigned to patients and their families has responsiblility for assessing their needs and for developing, implementing, and evaluating a plan of nursing care. In addition, the RN may provide direct patient care, in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and Hospice and Home Health standards of care. The RN shall: Understand and adhere to Hospice and Palliative CareCenter policies and procedures and be an advocate of the Hospice philosophy. Provide nursing services according to the plan of care. Communicate with physicians and others as needed to coordinate and ensure high quality care. Develop a plan of care with goals defined by the patient/family. Supervise care provided by Nursing Assistants and Licensed Practical Nurses.

Position Requirements: Current North Carolina license as a Registered Nurse andcurrent CPR certification. A minimum of 2 years nursing experience preferred. Attend annual in-service(s) that are required for nursing staff. Attend CPR certification every two years. Attend meetings as scheduled.
Position Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for assessing needs upon admission, developing, implementing, and evaluating a plan of nursing care. Provides direct patient care on an ongoing basis, in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, Hospice and Home Health standards of care. The RN shall develop a plan of care with goals defined by the patient/family interdisciplinary team and LTC facility. Attend care plan meetings at the LTC facility.

Possess good nursing assessment and problem solving skills. Ability to work well within an interdisciplinary team setting as well as independently with a minimum of supervision.

Position Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment for the patient. Develop understanding of stages of death and dying and how that may affect the interaction with patients and families. Coordinate care with supervisor(s) and other members of the interdisiplinary team. Maintain accurate and up-to-date recording and charting as requried and in accordance with agency, state, federal and accreditation standards.
